Green State Power is excited to announce the start of the implementation phase for the Arghandi 500kV Substation and the 500kV Transmission Line from Dasht-e Alwan to Arghandi in Kabul Province. The opening ceremony, held on July 27, 2024, marked this significant milestone.
This project, invested in by Awfi Bahram Mines Extraction and Processing Trading Company, is executed in partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Water. Green State Power, alongside Shahab Niro JV, will be responsible for bringing this critical infrastructure to fruition.
The Arghandi substation and transmission line are essential components in enhancing energy connectivity and supporting sustainable development throughout Afghanistan. The implementation of these projects will enable the import of 1,000 MW of electricity from Turkmenistan, ultimately addressing electricity shortages in Kabul and 12 neighboring provinces. By improving the country’s energy infrastructure, this project aims to provide reliable electricity, stimulate economic growth, and elevate the quality of life for communities in the region.
During the ceremony, representatives from all partners emphasized the importance of this initiative, highlighting a shared commitment to innovation and progress. This is more than just an infrastructure project; it’s a vital step toward a sustainable and prosperous future for Afghanistan.
As we embark on this journey, Green State Power remains dedicated to excellence and client satisfaction, in line with our vision of being a trusted partner and a leading authority in investment management.
