Opening Ceremony of 252 MVA Tarakhel substation and the 220 kV transmission line from Chimtala to Tarakhel

Green State Power is excited to announce the start of the implementation phase for the 252 MVA Tarakhel Substation and the 220 kV transmission line from Chimtala to Tarakhel. The opening ceremony, held on September 8, 2024, marked this significant milestone.

With an $18.7 million investment from Awfi Bahram Trading and Mining, and implemented by Green State Power in partnership with MBRCC and Novin Simia, this transformative project is set to be completed in just two years.

Once fully operational, it will deliver reliable electricity to 250,000 households, making power outages a thing of the past and lighting up lives across the city.
