Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.

Duties and Resposibilities

- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor and report on budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Provide insights and recommendations for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profitability improvement.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results with budgets and forecasts.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the organization’s financial stability.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
- Support the CFO in strategic financial planning and analysis.
- Participate in long-term financial planning and risk management activities.
- Act as a liaison between the finance department and other departments.
- Present financial information to senior management, board members, and external stakeholders as required.
- Carry out all financial management activities related to the implementation of the projects in accordance with GAAP and applicable laws
- Ensure a proper management and disbursement of project funds following a sound accounting, budgeting, financial control and audit procedures acceptable to client, investor and GoA.
- Maintain complete project accounts and accounting books in accordance with internactional accounting standards, including all documentary evidence supporting individual transactions.
- Prepare quarterly internal financial reports and annual financial reports in accordance with guidelines.
- Reconcile all bank accounts on a periodic basis
- Maintain the contracts, signed under the project and execute payments under such contracts
- Review invoices and contracts together with the procurement specialist and project manager.
- Control (verify) and file of all payment documents, invoices and other financial documents related      to project transactions.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree in Finance or MBA is preferred.
- CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
